Is it possible to submit an entry as a video? I don't think any photos exist of this one, but we got about 20 seconds of action.

This is, to date, my only attempt at carving a pumpkin. The earth-shattering terror may have been offset slightly by the vanilla scented candle. It was the only one I could find!

Strange to see that no one else has put a picture up yet. I've finished my carving. I need to wait for it to get dark now and find a candle.

Here's my entry, I decided to do a LRR reference: The Stages

Image

I know it is not a Winter Squash but a Butternut Squash; Swansea is not very ethnically diverse in fruit and veg. This was my first ever carving and seem appropriate after going through the 'Sex Thread' the last few days.

Ok finished my pumpkin today and I am very pleased with it. It was the first pumpkin I've done myself so I am happy. It is basically five 8 bit format nintendo heros: mario, link, megaman, kirby, and pac-man.

P.S. Lrr if you want me to I can add on images of each panel, just say the work.

Sorry I can't do that, it violates my three laws of robotics.

@Beta test P.S stands for Post Script, as in after the main body of the letter. Therefore additional Post Scripts should be Post Post Scripts, so should be labelled P.P.S. You can add as many P's as you need.

on a more relevant note, your pumpkin is awesome! good job

Don't use facebook to host public pictures. Upload it to imageshack or photobucket.

would love too however my hosts have some serious filters on the internet access. They don't allow the use of those sites because they think I'll "pollute the internet."

Well in fact the link didn't work. At least, I just got an error message.. is your photo album set to not show anything to non-friends? 'Cos that'd stop us all from seeing it.

Also, yeah, Photobucket or something would be better to use than Facebook.

Highlander, just make your profile public so people can see your photos.

Or right-click on the photo, click view image info, and copy-paste the image location link to here (in the image tags).

If I had been eating anything I would have done a spit-take when I saw Yaxley's. Well done, sir. Well done. Excellent use of the medium & incorporating an obscure yet immediately recognizable LRR reference.

Unfortunately, I totally bombed this year. Too much stuff going on coupled with lack of printer for a couple weeks, which was needed to create my original stencils that I would have transferred to my pump-a-kins. Perhaps I'll pick up some on discount next week & post my 'O-lanterns anyway.

I'm glad people seem to like it. It certainly amused me while I was carving it. I'm not looking forward to cleaning that up, though.
