I didn't have moneys to buy portal 2 till a week after it came out.
like 8 hours after it was released on steam i was on facebook and i see this.

The Sixth Sense.

I never saw it in the movie theater. But my parents rented it on a Sunday with the intention to watch it, as a family, on that Monday (when my dad didn't have work).

That weekend, in my English class (this was in high school, and my sophomore year, so it was... 2000?), we had to write a poem that re-told the story of a movie/book/etc... I had chosen to do Exile, the second book in the Dark Elf Trilogy (cause I'm a huge dork and read the Drizzt book back then).
Anyway, in class on Monday, one of the girls was asked to read her poem.

She decided to write about The Sixth Sense.

The last line of her poem:

He was dead all along

My day, and that movie, was ruined. Sigh.

Well, this was really my fault, but the other day I was going through my 360 games and I couldn't remember if I had beaten Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood yet. I mentioned this to my sister, and she said "Oh, I'm pretty sure you'd remember it if you'd beaten the game. Have you REDACTED yet?" I had not, and now I know how the game ends, so that sucks.

Wikipedia ruined season 4 of Dexter for me. I had missed a couple episodes and I wanted to make sure I was watching them in the right order so I went to the episode list page...

"Actor B says Actor B will return in season 5, however it is not clear how, as Actor B's character was killed at the end of season 4."

Goddammit.

Well, when I was first getting The Orange Box for Christmas back in '08 my cousins made a point to telling me "The Cake is a Lie" before I'd played Portal, gotten to install it, or even open the box it came in. I know, not exactly a "spoiler" but it pissed me off at the time.

Oh, and some asshat told me that Summer Glau's character in Dollhouse gets shot in the head long before I had even watched the season that episode was in, let alone see an episode introducing her character.

I've mentioned before, but my bugbear about spoilers is when you're accused of spoiling something but it blatently isn't spoiler. My friend told me that saying, "Twin Peaks starts with Laura Palmer's body being found" is a spoiler.
