Yeah, it's running slower than a one-legged tortoise for me. I've been able to deal with it by watching videos while stuff loads, but now YouTube is mucking up. Oh gods of the internet, why have you forsaken me?

I've got it - it's the DUTCH! They're framing the Belgians by using a proxy.

And let's be honest; literally speaking it's a DoS attack, not a Distributed Denial of Service - this sort of stuff could be accomplished by a single desktop running a couple of scripts.

I've noticed that the errors are clearing up and the loading isn't quite as long. But 'Riibekka' and 'Faellan' are grinding steadily away at this...

Just an FYI, phpBB has a handly little "delete all posts by user" option, so don't waste your time reporting each post or anything (if anyone actually has been crazy enough to try). Basically all an admin would need is a list of usernames.

Zyxst got a call this morning from a job she applied to yesterday and has a job interview for it this afternoon! It's only her second interview this year despite constant applications. *hope-hope* I'd love to go with her for support, but I go to work soon.


As to the influx of drug-ads, another handy little feature that might slow this sort of thing down is "Flood Control".

But heck, we'll survive as will the forums - it's just a nuisance. *shrug*
