this would make more sense if you specified which consoles were in each generation. I assume, since you only listed 4 generations that you're starting with NES, but even that's not quite accurate. because I would qualify:

pre-nes
nes-era
snes/genesis era
psx/n64 era
ps2 era
current generation (wii/x360/ps3)

and that's 6 generations, with 5 post NES, and could be subdivided further.

I'd say the earliest system I personally own is the Dreamcast.
I had a PSOne, and I do have an original GameBoy... but yeah, Dreamcast.

I'm gonna go ahead and go with Third...I had an SNES, but it broke (I got it used, in not very good shape). I currently have a GameBoy Pocket, Gameboy Advanced, Gameboy SP, PS1 (broke our neighbors mobile monitor, had to buy them a new one, kept the old one), PS2, and Gamecube.

My first, oldest, and only system is my PS2.
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."

the neo geo is more powerful than the 3DO, if i am not mistaken. it certainly is leaps and bounds ahead of anything else in it's caegory.

I have Gameboy Advance and Gameboy Colour. Hum, the earliest thing I've ever owned is my NES, but I think we sold it or something. It doesn't seem to be here anymore.

My NES is still alive and kicking!

I had an old atari, but I have no idea where it went to. It never really worked properly, however, so I don't miss it.

My NES remains my oldest system, but I've gotten rid of all the games now . . . as Virtual Console is gonna be where it's at soon ;).

As much as I do enjoy the nostalgia of old carts, I will confess that it really is a lot handier to just have the games available without all the twitchy, easily-breakable systems and carts and the battery back-ups failing and wiping out your saves.

The oldest I have is the Intelevision. Which still works and everything. My bro and I pull it out when we want to get back to our roots.

I also have:
NES, SNES, Saga, N64, Game Cube, 2 of the Original brick-like Game Boys, and a Game Boy Colour!!!

All of them still work!!!

I have nothing. My brother had a N64 which I spent a lot of time on, and then a Gamecube after that, but I never had anything of my own... :(

I have a Family Com, and the old brick Gameboy.

The newer stuff I (that is, between my bro and I) have is:
PS1 (the chunky one)
PSTwo (slim one)
Xbox
Gameboy Advanced
Gameboy Colour
Gameboy SP

I have a Telstar Alpha kicking around somewhere. It's a machine that only plays variations of Pong, all built into the unit. I also have an Atari 400, with my favorite ports of Ms. Pac-Man and Donkey Kong.

There is a video with the Commodore 64 in it. But I am fairly certain that the Commodore wasn't a console.
"I swear it," said the other mother. "I swear it on my own mother's grave."

"Does she have a grave?" asked Coraline.

"Oh yes," said the other mother. "I put her in there myself. And when I found her trying to crawl out, I put her back."
