'Movie' Movies Movie
LRR always stated in the past that it's a fine line between being a low budget film and looking like a low budget film. I think this is more of the latter. This video looked random and thrown together. More like something I'd fine on youTube not LRR..
When there is a huge set of posts saying they liked the t-shirt ad and then skip over the video, that says something. Yes, Andy is awesome and the ad was ridiculously funny. But that set the bar for the video and this week it just didn't deliver, imho.

Err. yeah. That was part of the joke.

It was the only thing to-hand, I believe. Andy wasn't around for very long, so the window for shooting his bits was really narrow--like, 30 minutes.
Wait if you know stuff about the shooting..... I believe you're cover is blown and I have a suspicion a new Loading Time is headed our way
If I ever come up with something witty or interesting I'm not going to display it in plain sight for you buffoons to steal away.

If you listened to the Podcast you'd already know that.
Consider this signature a museum piece, since I love it and am unlikely to change it ever.

Oh...yeah, now that I think about it, you're probably right. Disregard that, I sucks cocks.

Yeah...have you guys tried hanging thick blankets/fluffy towels on the walls of the Orbiting Underground Moon Base? They'll cut down on the echo a bit more.

Yeah, it's for next Monday's update. We "announced" it at the end of the podcast. So, September 3 you'll get to see it. Assuming I get the editing done by then, what with PAX and all...jtaylor wrote:I was under the impression that it would be for next weeks video.
Special People: Superhero-with-a-twist web fiction, updating twice weekly.

Crap! I'll be out of the country by then & probably without net access. Oh well, something to look forward to later next month.

I just won twenty bucks.
I have it on good authority that Graham pads with a sock.
I wasn't going to bring attention to it (cause it shouldn't be an issue), but I'm not going to sit here and let you slander my junk.
All. Me.
I'm curious, why does James' wig have a segment that looks like a brick wall?

This sig is haiku
There's no reason why it is
Other than it's cool.

That part of the wig is green, and that background was greenscreened. Thus, the green in the wig disappears. MOVIE MAGIC!

Could have been worse. Atleast the accusation was sock, as in singular.

But that's point.. I've been relistening to old LRRCasts and in the very first one, Paul makes the point about how they wanted to make it look like they were making fun of a low budget PBS show without looking like they just didn't have any money to make a show.. I'm of the opinion that this just looks like a low budget movie.. not a no budget movie making fun of a low budget movie...

I admit, it's a thin line.
I even briefly considered doing way more intentionally shitty green screening (line around everyone, etc) but it wouldn't have looked like we were doing it intentionally, so I didn't.
Graham, every single scene with your, er,...*awkward silence*... made me think of Labyrinth with David Bowie. Wonderful movie, but way too easy to be distracted by um...other things.
Really, you've moved up the ladder for me from Robert Downey Jr. (courtesy of Cardboard Man) to David Bowie. And yes, in my mind that is an upgrade, only 1 rung below Michael Jackson. I have a very odd ranking system.
The video not only did a great job of bashing on Movie movies, it was a semi-Movie movie of LRR movies what with all the fanservice (Haha! Double Entendre) and old characters making a comeback. I absolutely love Paul's Cowboy outfit; and if that's how gorgeous our Alien Overlords are, I cannot wait until we are completely overtaken. I enjoyed the video greatly. Thank you all for continuing to produce incredibly fun films each week. I really do appreciate it.
Also: All right! First view!
I know not really, but the counter still said 0 for me when I finally watched it.
Edit: Ok, so now it has a number.

I think we've already learned that Graham has balls. Enhancing them with socks would just be ridiculous.
Wang however...
Yeah, I really doubt that's cotton

In regards to unmentionable things, I think Graham should have worn his dance belt/man thong for this video. Just to help get his money's worth out of it.
