We've always planned to show us actually shooting something in an episode, it's just never come up yet.

If that is a Hustle Episode Graham it will probably be the best Hustle ever, hopefully we may see the metal plate again (3rd Disc of Season 4 DVD).

I can't disagree with that because I don't know better, but I assure you the people in that scene would have brought it up if something was wrong.

Also, they're playing Pathfinder, not D&D.

In that scene, we are actually playing D&D. We switched back to Pathfiinder afterward.

Whether amulet of health works like that is up for contention. I certainly wouldn't allow it to cure already-acquired diseases, but that's because it would be retarded, not because the rules actually specify ;). What I was trying to get across in this scene is that (as is the stereotype) the players in my group dick with me constantly, and I more-or-less make up the rules as I go along. Of course pounce doesn't work that way . . . but then young adult blue dragons don't have pounce . . . or tentacles ;).

Pounce allows you to make a full attack after a charge.

Amulet of Health is a magical item that grants you a +2, +4, or +6 enhancement bonus to your Constitution. So it could have negated the damage from the mummy rot, but certainly it wouldn't "cure" it.

I can definitely understand the annoying players, though in my case I plan ahead for it with a few contingencies.

For example, at one point a player had to ascend a large tower filled with enemy creatures of sizeable power. The intention here being he would be battered and bruised by the time he got to the main villain at the top.

So he decided not to do so and instead use Phantom Steed to fly up the several hundred foot high tower to the top floor and engaged the villain on his steed with ranged weapons and spells through a newly-broken window.

My contingency? The villain destroyed the steed, and the player would have fallen that same several hundred feet and died.

Well, he would have if we both hadn't forgotten about the Ring of Feather Fall he had...still hurt though.

Also, if Ben is not Jewish then why is he wearing a star of david. This could just be the inside joke as no one else has pointed it out.

I can't really speak for everyone else, but for me, I just find it non stop funny that we bug Ben about being Jewish. He's not. But he has a star of David from his trip to Israel I think he said it was from.

He showed up to my halloween party dressed like an israeli soldier and I just died. I thought he was jewish and in my drunken state argued him on the fact that he wasn't.

There, that's MY side of the joke. I'm not sure if that's why everyone else bugs Ben, but that's why I bug Ben. That, and it's funny to call him Benjew. I have nicknames for all of them. Billnando. Jimmy poo poo. Duncaroonie...it's all in good fun.

As for Graham's unemployment, I was under the impression that he's not TEACHING Line Dancing for a living. Thus Paul not calling him on the "I have to work" during their scene with Jer and Kathleen.

So, the truth comes out?! Well then, I suppose you'll have to refrain from calling me "brownie, brown girl...mexican...slave..." and all the rest if I refrain from making you cry at night. Deal? OR DORA, for that matter!

There...new deal. No Jimmy Poo Poo in exchange for taking the picture of DORA down from your iphone as my call display!

Dale is correct that a creature with a burrow speed should be able to partial charge in a surprise round and do everything I do in that scene except use its breath weapon. While Dale calls me on this, he accepts my reasoning, having been brow-beaten in the past over similar calls.

Subtext: I am a nasty, vindictive GM, prone to changing the rules as I see fit. This is intentional.

This is a mistake on my part. I had meant periapt of health. Oh well.

That sounds less like an annoying player, and more along the lines of common sense. Who wants to fight the main villain while they're battered and bruised when they don't have to? Sounds like something I would have done.

I should say that while the "Ben isn't Jewish" joke started as an in joke, it's one I wasn't really party to, and I still find it a funny aside in the context of the video.

Meaning, hopefully it's amusing without the prior knowledge. I think it is.

I find it funny half because I find the phrase "Jew gold" hilarious and half because it reminds me of an old in-joke that MY friends used to have, calling one of our other friends Jewish.

That was a hilarious habit until he finally got fed up and punched one of us in the face...

Well, I'm very proud of both d6 shots.

I'm surprised more people don't go McCoy on me. Nor do my friends really do the "Home, James" bit when I'm driving. Oh well.

And yes, the dice look great. If not for the pesky purple D20 I'd still be stumped.

Why did Graham check his pockets on "SAVING THROW" (at about 3:45)? Is it a D&D joke I don't get, or just a weird reaction to being startled? Or does it have to do with the fact his tea almost spilled?

That makes sense. It just caught me off guard and really distracted me.
Edit: Holy shit, two more posts in the last 20 seconds. K, thanks for the clarification, Graham.

Good show though. I agree with what they said before that if somebody didn't know "you" (your characters) made videos, and just saw cH, they'd be very VERY confused about the pwn section.

Man oh man.

And the reason you guys didn't just weight the actual dice? I mean, if I'd known you were going to put that much effort into it, I would've given you mine to microwave for real and saved you the hassle.

Still, props for massive effort. Your commitment to comedy is frankly heroic.

I probably would've tried something like
--shot of Jer throwing dice
--cut to already settled 1's sliding across a table.

Of course, that would have looked way less awesome than you guys'. But hey, I'm lazy. :)

The making of Quantum Documentary, with Loading Time special. Tho' I suspect this has already been suggested.

Also, Commodore Hustle is halfway to becoming a feature film length video. Season 6 will need an extra DVD in the set for sure.
