Wanna save the economy? Throw a shoe
The man who threw a shoe at Bush should be hired to save the world economy (...that is if it's still going on after the 15 years he risks spending in jail for it.... seriusly... he didn't even hit Bush (Damn Bush and his reflex save!)).
Why you might wonder. Well I'll tell you; Since the shoe got thrown the company who makes that shoe has had an increase of sales by 2467% ( from 15000 sales to 370000. Thanks to the amativeness for calculating the correct precentage) and had to hire 100 more people to be able to make enough shoes to meet the new demand.
So while the rest of the world's economy is free falling; a small company in the middleeast is growing like never befor.
So if you wanna save the economy; throw a shoe.
Oh, and try not to use too heavy or hard shoes, I mean you don't wanna hurt them!

slightly off-topic, but bush dodged those shoes a lot better than i would have imagined. also, notice how after the first one, no one EXPECTED A SECOND except bush? if thems were something more lethal, he'd be dead. i loved how he laughed the whole way through. i gained a little respect for the man. should have had that happen earlier.
Did you blink or something? People have been hating on President Bush for the past 8 years, and for the past 8 years, he's been taking it with a nod and a grin. The only reason most of the people who think he's an idiot do are because they've been told to by the people who actually really do hate him, and most of them hate him because he's a Republican president, not because of anything he's done. They say it's the things he's done because that makes it all sound good, but a simple look at the post-Election day celebrations this year and 4 and 8 years ago will show what's what. Eight years ago, there were no celebrations, there were no commemorative coins, no commemorative plates, there was no "We won, you lost, suck it, Dems." There was a loud Hurrah from the Religious Right, and then lots of whining from the Left, and that was before you had all seen what he would do in office.
If I had been in the man's place, I would have snapped ages ago and would probably be either in prison or in an assylum by now. Nobody, save gamers, endures that kind of constant abuse, and the video gamers know it's nothing personal and can always turn it off. The fact that President George Walker Bush still has the poise to get up in front of an audience which he knows all hate him, dodge not one, but two thrown shoes, and then crack jokes about it after the 8 constant years of character assassination and verbal abuse that he's endured tell me that he is a greater man than many of us will ever be.

George Bush the president is not George Bush the person is not George Bush the committee. The borderline incompetent yokel George Bush that everyone has been making fun of bears no resemblance to the man who has degrees from both Yale and Harvard and is actually quite articulate (see any speech before his presidency) and that man bears no resemblance to the entire committee of very competent people who have been slowly expanding executive power over the past eight years, who waged war over oil and got at least half the country to believe it was for self-defence (despite publicly available documents directly contradicting this).
Basically, George Bush is not upset because you suckas got played.

Maybe the celebrations and commemorations were because people were looking back on policies they hugely massively strongly strongly disagreed with in the last 4 to 8 years, and now have someone they can get behind?
Yes, Mass Media, The News, EVERYBODY is out to get the Republican right, (no sarcuasm here), and they're incredibly unpopular. But there is a reason for that.

What about all the Clinton policies that were so unpopular with the Republican Right? What about the fact that Clinton had Osama Bin Ladin dead in his sights not once, but twice(as I recall) if not more, and decided the best course of action was to twiddle his fingers? Starting two brand new wars may be frowned upon(though not by me), but it's a better reaction to terrorist attacks than saying "Oh, I'm so sad they bombed the USS Cole. Maybe if we're really nice to them this time, they'll stop hating us."
I have a buddy who lives in Canada who I chat with a lot. Pre-November 4, Barack Obama was his favored candidate for policy reasons(that is, exactly the same things I didn't like about him), and he thinks the Left has gone a little crazy with the celebrations down here. So much so that he brought it up out of nowhere. I just said "Yeah, I told you they were like that."
Also: agreements with Tak197(that's one of the Leftist actions that's making Bush unpopular amongs the Republican party right now).
And agreements with Poitr. That would have rocked!

Most people think Hitler was a great man (not a good person albeit) and he tried to commit Genocide. All Bush tried to do was get rid of a dictator while trying to get some oil out of it.
If I ever come up with something witty or interesting I'm not going to display it in plain sight for you buffoons to steal away.

Caturday will never be the same again. Although I guess according to my statement there political lolcats are like dividing by zero. We are all doomed.Cheeseonfire wrote:AeroCmdr wrote:Every time politics is discussed on the internet a lolcat dies. Please, think of the lolcats.
Then let's talk about politics.
