Re: LRRcast for cHustle 11
Oh Jer, as regards the spelling of the illusion word you've had issues with in this podcast: It's G-L-A-M-E-R
Which may actually fit in better with "scrolls of comedic glam(m)er"
And as regards Paul's teleporting and drawing the siege on the whiteboard, I consider that more evidence that Matt's teleporting in Easy Bake Spore is connected to Paul's Phailinite Ring

Glamour is also correct. Glamer is the archaic spelling (more D&D appropriate, I guess). The etymological root is gramarye, which means learning (hence, grammar) or magic/occult.
Re: LRRcast for cHustle 11
As it's a D&D term (and thus, a technical one), "glamer" is the spelling you should use, lest you invite confusion. Let's not even get started on D&D language issues (how do you pronounce "bulette"?)
Re: LRRcast for cHustle 11
Wait, it is?
...Oh, wow. I totally did not notice that.
Also, "bulette" is pronounced boo-LAY.

Re: LRRcast for cHustle 11
Well in the context they were using it it was a D&D term. D&D loves to co-opt certain phrases to have very particular meanings. For example: "martial" now means "you know, like batman!"

If that's a French word, then that's zn irregular way to pronounce it. Standard French pronunciation for that would be boo-let-te. (The last e is a schwa, btw.)

If it is French, like Tim said, "boulette" would be boo-LEH-tuh. To prounouce it boo-LAY, it would have to be spelled "boulet". It has something to do with masculine vs feminine, or something like that.

I think we can all agree that the Runners as a mob would be faster than a speeding bulette

Re: LRRcast for cHustle 11
Well, that's the pronunciation, straight from Wizards, so my guess is that it's intended to look French but is an entirely made-up word, meaning it doesn't have to follow any sort of logical pronunciation.

"English is Fun!" would make an amazing T-shirt! I would buy it, I would buy it 9 times! Maybe a little cartoon Jer explaining something and a cartoon Tim in the background saying "English IS fun!"
If you guys don't make that shirt, I am making one for myself! lolz

I'd like an english is fun shirt...
Also I never did catch the magnetic lodestone bottom bit (I did think that magnetic lodestones where a bit excessive), and the part with using a corpse as a weapon killed me. That was so utterly hilarious.

I normally lament that the LRR Store only sells t-shirts and I don't normally get to wear t-shirts with cool designs on them... but I would be pretty much obligated to buy an "English is Fun" shirt if you made one.

First, they need to make a video where they use "Engish is FUN", THEN they need to make the shirt.

Okay, LRR, your next task is to include this sentence in a video so you can make a T-shirt and make the monies, because apparently I was onto a hit with my T-shirt idea! I knew there were other dorks like myself who enjoy a good English joke! Of course, I'm an English and American Literature student (thankfully graduated now, w00t!), so it's kind of right up my alley!

Is the misspelling of English intentional?

No, I just type fast and sometimes don't pick up on misspelled words until someone else points it out.
Re: LRRcast for cHustle 11
It may have been quite subtle and possibly an unknown reference, but I really liked Jer saying "Some drop science, well I'm dropping english." toward the end of the podcast. It was a lyric from the old school rap song by NWA, Express Yourself.

I noticed that to. I'm not sure if Jer said it like that though.
