Let this be a lesson kids, folding to peer pressure will just make you seem more awesome.

When I originally saw the video, I knew that's how you did the lobster bit, but somehow it enhances the funny seeing it without the effects. Also I had no clue how many layers there were to some of the shots. Bravo good sirs, you make it look simple.

That was very nicely put together.

I hadn't realized some of the weird faces that Kathleen was making during the clones shots.

Probably the coolest behind-the-scenes video yet. Props for showing the layers side-on, too; that was really interesting.

You thought they really did make a bunch of Kathleen clones for this video, then?

I just realized how funny it is that the videos of Tim in the past are in black and white-- cause, you know, they didn't have colour video cameras in the 18th century, right? :P

Even Kathleen would agree that the world isn't ready for that to happen.

I didn't even notice in the finial version that the hands were different. Seeing the "making of" brought just how much work goes into most of these vids. Good stuff.

Nice. The green screen effects in LRR videos are usually top notch and this is no exception. It never once occured to me that what I was seeing was the result of greenscreening. That's some serious talent you've got there.

The only bad thing I can think of to say about this video was the bit where Cathleen swung the sword over her shoulder. I'm pretty sure real swords are too heavy to bounce :P

I think the only video where I have ever been aware of the effects was Ways to Abuse Shaolin. Still, it's pretty damn hard to get that effect right.

Yeah. . . it isn't a goddamned claymore, it's just an Asian-style (I don't want to be too specific, not being an expert) short sword. I've actually used one of those (mostly authentic, no less), and they're pretty light.

Uhhh, well clearly he travelled into the future, but not too far. He then grabbed a black and white camera and film and took it back into the past to record his heroic efforts against the mighty Space Kraken.

... cos ya know they DID have those back then.
Nothing to see here.

Kathleen's sword is as heavy as a real sword, I assure you.
It's just a prop-real sword.

Hmmm, on re-watching I have to say there was one effect which really fell short: the Space Kraken looked a lot more like a Giant Enemy Lobster. It's the extra legs so close to the pincers; you just didn't quite manage to get the whole sinuous, tentacled aspect of the Space Kraken. Still, not a bad effort.

I've become so spoiled by special effects in video that I tend not to notice anymore when cool stuff is being done, so this video was a really interesting insight to the editing process.

This video was a lot better than Green Noon, IMO, because Green Noon mostly had green screen backgrounds, whereas this video had a lot more.

Here's to similar videos in the future!
Just call me Dylan. It's easier to pronounce.

Well, the video explained a few of the problems in the video.

Jer should have been sitting on greenscreen too - he looks smudged in the levitation picture. And the rotation of the levitating objects looks unbalanced - this I'd blame on the software.
