Any LRR Fans in London (in England)?
Any LRR Fans in London (in England)?
It struck me that I've been living in London for over three months now, and haven't really done much to make new friends in the area. I know Bath and it's surrounding areas has a high density of LRR fans, because I occasionally go there, and hang out with all of them. Which is awesome.
Is there currently a similar group in London. If not, don't you think there should be? If enough people are willing, who wants to meet up somewhee in the city one weekend and hang out somewhere?
P.S.: Added inventive: I have LRR season 1 on DVD. A suitable activity could be to get together somewhere and watch that.

My rate of posting on these forums decreased when I started meeting up with Mad Madam Mimm, elvor, ThrashJazzAssassin and Theremin (also featuring Lyinginbedmon) in real life. They could paraphrase what was going on on the forums.
gbridges, it's good to know I'm not the only fan in this incredibly large city. I live (at present) in Victoria, to let everyone know. If there aren't enough people to make meeting up a semi-regular occurrence, London is certainly a connected enough city to make some sort of one-off event possible.

I occasionally pop down to London, but do not live there.
Re: Any LRR Fans in London (in England)?
Up until about a week ago I was living around Kensington, but since uni broke up I've returned home to the home counties. Come October, though, I'll be back in London for the next academic year.
That being said, I'm only an hours train journey from the heart of London, so its not like its completely out of reach for me...

Clarification: he means me. Because my real name has a J in it. If you don't know my real, name, that statement falls a bit flat.

I'll be in London for a few days before and after my trip to Canada.

Awesome. When's your trip to Canada?
So: it seems like there are enough people in or around London to make a one-off meetup for fun and larks a possibility. Next step is to come to a conclusion as to when this should be. I'm basically free most weekends. Weekdays require that I take holidays off work, which I can do, if absolutely necessary.

I will be in London briefly on Wednesday, but i will be hugely jetlagged and not keen to do anything apart from sleep.
As of October, I will be in Oxford which is nice and close to London, so i could pop down for a meet up.

There's the Expo in October, so maybe then would be good?

No, but then again I was still living up North back then. Speaking of big events in the capital, AnimeLeague Club London's London Anime Con is on at the end of the month. Assuming enough people are in the vicinity, a LRR meetup there would seem pretty game.

Yup, was a really great night out! I've been to all the VGL concerts in London, I'm just waiting for them to actually come back...
Btw, if you're on the forums over there, that's me with the same username.

Re: Any LRR Fans in London (in England)?
I know close to nothing about Animé, except that nerds like it, and I'm a nerd, so I might head over here and see what it's like. If other LRRies decide to turn up too, awesome.

It's probably worth watching some first before you go, otherwise you'll either be weireded or bored out of your mind.
