Carmageddon: Reincarnation

Postby Cokey » 16 May 2012, 13:58

Max Damage is back!

Well almost. He just needs a little more funding to make it to the starting line.

Stainless Games, the people who made Carmageddon and Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now, have recently got the rights to the Carmageddon brand back from the publisher and are working on a new Carmageddon game. They have already started working on the game and have some concept art and early in game screenshots on carmageddon.com. To continue work on the game they have setup a Kickstarter project. They've set a goal of $400,000 and have already raised just under $250,000.

If you enjoy racing crazy cars around in open world environments while smashing into other cars, pedestrians and scenery you could do a lot worse than pledging a few dollars to this project. Just $15 will get you a copy of the game on Steam. If they receive enough money they will look into releasing it on other platforms as well.

So please, think of the Cunning Stunts and make a pledge.

Hmm... Did I screw up the font size or something? Looking at this thread on my iPhone, my original post is larger than your reply. I didn't specify a different font size for it.

Also, Yes! Really!! :)

I mean, I know it's good to see Carmageddon back but it just seems like a relic now. I'll keep an eye on this but I've got no idea where this will end up.

I went ahead and pledged for it. I don't have any problems trying to fund this game. I enjoyed the hell out of Carmageddon when I was younger. I wonder if my parents still have that old PC that. I also wonder if it works.
