Rapidfire S3 E5
In a very special episode Bob Ross shows us how to paint some very happy trees.
But seriously, Kate is freaking me out.

My favourite bit may have been the detectives just skipping the whole deduction thing. Simple, but hilarious.

Kate as Bob Ross was perfect! As soon as the video started I was laughing. The beard is a powerful tool of the Stark family.
The bit with the detectives was so unexpected i loved it and Grahams trench coat salesmen was awesome.
Very well done everyone

Shady salesman finally gets an interested customer!
Any reason Kate in particular was chosen to be Bob Ross?

Totally accurate, except for all the times I'm not.

Wooow, the simple but hilarious detectives bit followed by the simple but hilarious A9 News bit was GOLD.
Also of note, the seedy back-alley salesman finally starts selling other jackets within his own jacket. I half called that.
EDIT:- Found myself being jealous of Kate's simplistic but neat painting skills. I can't paint to save my life.

I'm assuming this is the last of this series, because everything has wrapped up nicely. All the bits were awesome, for once!

I believe someone (Graham or the LRR account) said on Twitter a while back that there would be six episodes.

Well, good luck topping this one. I hope they succeed, because it's rare for me to spit-take.

"Why has no one ever thought of that?"
But really, I don't think there was even ONE mini-sketch that I didn't love:
But, I will say this - I kinda miss "So boys and girls, what have we learned this week?" ^_^

But really, I don't think there was even ONE mini-sketch that I didn't love:
- Kate NAILED Bob Ross; even when talking about something utterly batshit loco, he WOULD have not judged at all.
- The business execs (I'd like to think they're working for Yummies) - see above.
- The cultists GET A RECRUIT (and yeah, Cam really delivers that wonderful line)
- Bob from Apple: yeah, c'mon - don't we ALL have at least one relative like that? (though *I* might be one - I miss the screeching of an acoustic modem handshake...)
- Chad, the Shady Back-street Vendor: both were good. And "They're mostly fresh!"
- As for the 'Tangential Detectives', I almost think Rodriguez spoiled what Reilly wanted to do. But yeah, all the funnier for the unexpected factor.
- Dale Hanson of A9 news...maybe a little TOO good at investigative reporting?
But, I will say this - I kinda miss "So boys and girls, what have we learned this week?" ^_^

Ok, aside from the usual 'that was awesome' (cuz it was)- I'm half-stunned at the accuracy of the Bob Ross bits. Real Bob Ross tools and paint colors? Somebody had a kit sitting around, didn't they?

Re: Rapidfire S3 E5
I have to admit, as a die-hard Bob Ross lover, I was a little worried going into this video. Bob Ross has been spoofed so many times, usually to his detriment.
But man, I should not have doubted you guys, or Kate, because I was laughing. Hard. The fact that you got all the paint colors right... the little grunts and noises Kate made as she was painting... so good. SO good. <3 You even got the little roll on the edge of the knife.
Jer, Tally, and Kathleen as the terrible marketers do not get enough credit for their terrifyingly perfect performance. Double kudos for Kathleen's Snuggie Cultist performance. I'm looking forward to seeing Cam wearing one of those snuggies next week. XD
This week's iPhone app is probably my favorite so far, narrowly beating out Find my Friends on Fire.
And Shady Trench Coat Graham will always be my favorite thing ever. OH GOD THE TAMPONS.
The final question that we must determine: who painted that damn good Bob-Ross-esque landscape?

There's someone laughing off camera in the first Bob Ross section, right when Kate says "Let's get started." Maybe more than one person.

Really? I thought everyone knew Bob Ross.
He was the host for a PBS art program called 'The Joy of Painting'. He was best known for his super laid-back attitude in the show. Watch a clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MghiBW3r65M
Silly side story: my fiance once found a tape in his parents place late one night labeled 'Bob Ross'. No one in the family paints. So he popped it in to see what was on it- turned out to be his brother's copy of La Blue Girl (anime porn, if you don't know.) Needless to say, 'Happy Little Trees' has been a running gag ever since.

Hilarious Bob Ross skit.
But Kate with a beard and afro?
No. No. No.
Put her back.
Do not want.

Re: Rapidfire S3 E5
I almost missed the caption below this week's picture:
"Comedy so fast Kate turned into a man."
Yep. Pretty much nailed it.
And I agree AlexanderDitto, Tally, Jer and Kathleen are great as the horrible marketers. That should really be mentioned more often.
EDIT:- Who was the lady who refused the back-alley salesman's tampons and pads? I don't believe she was credited.

god damn you Bob Ross...
You made it look so easy!
This isn't joyful, It's pain
The Pain of Painting. (now we've got some happy little alliteration there)

I am perfectly fine with transgendered people of all kinds and have no issues with anyone that chooses to crossdress.
But seeing Kate as Bob Ross was far creepier for me than anything that gag could have punchlined with.

Huh, maybe it's that I'm not overly familiar with Bob Ross (being a little outside PBS's usual coverage area) but I didn't find Kate creepy at all.
Also, "Happy Little Ballista" would make a great band name.
