Lord of War.
Haven't seen it myself, but someone linked to the intro on the Escapist forums a couple months back.

...and even *I* was thinking that. And I'm even worse off than Jamfalcon - I've only ever seen trailers.

Nope and nope.
Hint #1: It's a "comedy" from the early 2000's

With that hint and recognizing the actors I have an answer.
Is it Evil Alien Conquerors?

All problems can be solved by trebuchets and/or fire.

Huh. Thought it would take longer than that, I'd never heard of the movie outside of the strange series of events that led to me owning it (and I own very few movies). I would not recommend watching it.
Well done, Drdiggit.

Yup. Kapol's got it.
I'm a fan of Mike Birbiglia and that movie was excellent. Go and rent it on VOD or watch it on Netflix if you haven't seen it.

Re: Name that Film!
I'm a fan of him as well, but I think the movie was a bit lackluster to be honest. It felt much more like a drama then I was expecting. Still a good movie.
I'm thinking I'll try to get a clip instead of a picture. If I can get it, I'll post it shortly. If not I'll just throw up a screen.

Video clip is better because it means you can't just reverse search it.

Re: Name that Film!
Well, if you really wanted to cheat, there're ways...that little "PrintScreen" button and paste the clipboard into M$Paint, save as an image, and bang, you've got something you could offer to a reverse image search engine...
BUT, getting back to the point. The film stock seems older - 70's maybe...
The music doesn't quite scream 'Western' but the content leans in that direction...
Shot-in-the-dark time, Jeremiah Johnson?

Re: Name that Film!
Nope, it's not that either. I figure the only way anyone will get this is if they know it from something else. But I'm not going to tell what that something else is. I'll post another clip in the next day or so if nobody gets it by then.
Also, I went with a clip because I feel it's better then just a still image. It's better to have the music, sound, and direction of a bit of the movie then just a still frame. I could have very easily just used a screenshot of the first bit and I doubt anybody would have gotten it.
