Desert Bus Finale Repository

Postby mtvcdm » 19 Nov 2016, 18:37

I've had this in a notepad for the past year, and only found the last couple missing videos on Ustream during this year's run (and needed Tally's help on identifying who was holding the controller in DB1; that's a really choppy video). But, now that I have all ten, I present all ten clips of the Desert Bus finales.

What I don't have, and likely never will unless someone's memory is disturbingly good because there was no overlay for this back in the Ustream days, was the stat of how long the first two runs went in relation to their scheduled end. In other words, how long the thank-yous stretched things out past the clock expiration. My measure of that is the point in time at which the Final Busdown music was queued up.

[UPDATE: The time stamp on the chat comments in the DB3 clip, which I just noticed, allow me to work backwards and figure out when the Final Busdown began there. So now we're only missing timestamps on DB1 and DB2.]

That noted, the stats I have and their corresponding clips. If anyone in the VST wants to make anything of them, feel free.

DB1: Final end in relation to time expiration unknown. No final song. Final driver Morgan. Room did not make a crash request. Crashed left. http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/97537
DB2: Final end in relation to time expiration unknown. Final song was Wheels on the Bus. Final driver James. Room did not make a crash request. Controller topped by Roscoe P. Jangles for apparent stall. http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/916421
DB3: Final Busdown began 37 minutes after time expired. Final driver James. Room did not make a crash request. Controller dropped for apparent stall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCn72IewTO0
DB4: Final Busdown began 1 hour, 2 minutes after time expired. Final driver James. Room requested a leftside crash. Crashed left. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsF8q0fKjBU
DB5: Final Busdown began 24 minutes after time expired. Final driver James. Room requested a leftside crash. Crashed left. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ccy4iGzmqo
DB6: Final Busdown began 12 minutes after time expired. Final driver Jer. Room requested a leftside crash. Crashed left. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9dX_OwAVbM
DB7: Final Busdown began 4 minutes after time expired, accounting for bonus hour to make up for a stream outage. Final driver Paul. Room requested a stall. Stalled. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdF9B7G-Kl8
DB8: Final Busdown began 40 minutes after time expired. Final driver James. Room did not make a crash request; James requested execution by the Device. Crashed left. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXZ_ABH0VEQ
DB9: Final Busdown began 13 minutes after time expired. Final driver Paul. Room requested a leftside crash. Crashed right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwOL9uTPNlg
DB10: Final Busdown began 36 minutes after time expired. Final driver Telnaior [chat, remotely]. Room did not make a crash request. Crashed left. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9um9jVsfKTg

The final crash has been:

The room requests for the crash:
No request- 5 (DB1, DB2, DB3, DB8, DB10)

Really cool seeing those old ones (I started with DB3, but don't remember them all looking so young :P). Thanks for putting this together!

Presumably you could do the math of what time they started, add how many hours they should have bussed, and compare that to time stamps. The recording for the lst run on ustream has a time stamp, and I think that is what time that recording started.

Which means I must've started watching around DB4.

Good god I just realized it's been 6 years.
