LRR and Desert Bus in the Times Colonist

Postby James » 22 Nov 2007, 09:15

For all that don't live in Victoria, the Times Colonist is our cities major daily news paper. After a quick email to them a couple days ago, myself, Graham, Paul and Bill were interviewed yesterday for a spot in the paper. I have yet to get a physical copy of the paper but we are up on the website. Check out the article here.

Hmm.

Their goal: Play the world's most boring, frustrating and all-round worst video game for more than three days straight. "The idea is sort of like the 24-hour relay, only with video games, and much longer than 24 hours," said Paul Saunders, one of the organizer of the event, and a member of Victoria humour group LoadingReadyRun
=P well there was at least one mention of it

Peak physical condition for videogame playing isn't all that.

But congrats on getting your name in the paper! I hope we get some more donations in.

Which reminds me - I need to go find my credit card. [edit] Done! You're gonna be playing for another hour!

Remember, I want to see real suffering on the video. If you can manage to cry tears of blood, that would be superb.

I think the "peak physical condition" quip is a joke. The guy definitely thought it was a hilarious idea.

He tries to keep it on the down low, what with it being his own fault.

i gotta say, I was kind of annoyed that the guy didn't include the .com at the end of loadingreadyrun. it's KIND OF THE IMPORTANT PART TO LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT OUR WEBSITE.

oh well. super stoked about the desert bus coverage though.
