Loading Time - Shirt Shipping

A look into the... I hesitate to say "Magic" but still!

We do this every time we print new shirts. It's a lot of work, but rewarding, and it's gotta be done!

It seems weird to just drop off that much stuff at the post office.

And yeah that is some weird shipping costs, it doesn't cost nearly as much to ship something across the US, which seems like a comparable feat.

Always nice to see behind the scenes stuff, but you left out the best part - what happens after Kathleen drops off the packages:

For just over a month I worked as effectively the shipping section of a small disco equipment and hire company.

You cannot begin to understand how weird international shipping is.

A nice look at the side of LRR that we don't get to see usually. It seems you have a pretty good system going, but if you ever need some help, I'd be willing to be a Loading Ready Labourer.

Do you get some really awesome street names?

How many orders did you ship?

On the subject of English places, my cousin used to live in a town called Ashby-de-la-Zouch, which couldn't sound more made up if it tried.

Fun fact:
It is cheaper to send stuff to the US (I payed like 9€ for a 500g package) than to receive it form canada. Weeeeird.

Very interesting video. Always interesting what LRR involves when you are not making videos.

I would also like to point out that I think Graham hasn't be back to Englndshire for a very long time, as the statement "The Royal Mail works" is almost realistic as saying "Canada Post works"

Royal Mail is at least more reliable than Canada Post. Whether or not that means much is up to personal experience.

In fairness to Canada Post (never thought I'd say that), everything costs ridiculously more when Newfoundland is involved. It is cheaper for me to fly, from the east coast of Canada, to India than it is to Newfoundland.

I know one person from Newfoundland that managed to make that beneficial though. He worked down in the US for a company that would pay for employees to fly home for Christmas, or anywhere else in North America of equal or less cost. In this case, that would include all of North America.

It also cost us $12 to ship something to Nanaimo (2 hours away) than to New Zealand.

Indeed saying the royal mail works is rather silly. And whats worse is that they believe that by privatising it, that'll fix it. Because it totally worked when we privatised the rail way am I right guys?? haha... In England.
It doesnt help does it?

I somehow get the feeling it's my address that Graham is mentioning.

If only because I live in "Essnex" and have an extra line in my address! Damn you large village! Damn you to Hades!

But, that was a cool vid and I was pleasantly suprised by my Desert Bus badge that was included! Thanks guys!

As a computer programmer, I should hate the non-standardness of UK addresses.

But truth be told, the coolest addresses are those that start with a house name, like 'Hades House' or 'Llantoffigan' (if you're in Wales).

Or maybe I'm just sad. I like my own address, if only because I moved into a suburb called 'The Rock'! *throws horns*

For the record, I love UK addresses on a personal level... they're just hard to input.

I worked as a letter sorter in the Royal Mail in Liverpool a couple of Christmases when I was a teenager. Britain has some weird place names.

They're not easy to sort either.

I agree with Canada post sucking balls with reliability.
also the England addresses sound awesome! better than my address.
I also like how it describes what the house looks like.
does that mean you can't paint your house?

Thanks for the behind the scenes video. I have a better idea what happens when an order is placed. I sorta want the old logo shirts, but the larger sizes are sold out, so I'm patiently awaiting new dvd seasons being available. I can then give over more of my hard earned money.

Larger sizes shouldn't be sold out anymore, we just did a reprint.

In all seriousness, thank you for posting that, Graham. If not, I may have missed out on my new-old logo shirt. :)

I really like the editing on this video with just the subtitles and that sweet...uhhhh...rotating cut...thing. When you changed to the next day.

I second the thanks. I'd been wanting the old logo shirt, too, and this Loading Time doubled as a shirt advert. I somehow missed the new store post, new preorder shirt, and site version increment. I really must up my coffee consumption.
