Gerry Anderson is the second childhood hero of mine to die this year. Anderson created some of my favourite tv shows: Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90 and Space Precinct.
I loved all the models.
Joe 90
Captain Scarlet
Stingray
Thunderbirds
Space Precinct

Re: RIP Gerry Anderson
I never liked Thunderbirds or Captain Scarlet when I was a kid.
Now as an adult I really appreciate the technical side and effort that went into producing each episode.
It's something you want to show to most modern day programs that use WAY too much CGI and show them how it should be done, or at least how you can still make a great program without having to always resort to CGI all the time.
