Worst idea for a TV show ever

Postby theProphetSuz » 19 Oct 2007, 07:55

The creative minds that create television shows have created an all new concept in creative television.
TV shows consisting entirely of youtube videos. Well videos and people of questionable intelligence to introduce them.

At least two networks in Australia are attempting it.
Obviously they're all out of ideas (this has been evident for some time now).

Of course the only way I could forgive them is if they showed a LRR video.

Better yet, someone could sign you guys to make a TV series.
Yes... that would be much better.

there is this one show called iCaught that's basically about memes. Show famous online events and videos and do interviews with internet celebs, like the guy david Elsewhere, from the Kollaboration videos.

QFT
I have actually attempted to strangle a person who tried to sing the theme song to that. It turns out that wrapping your hands around someones throat is a very effective method of saving your brain from melting.

See, I hate that show, but we used to sing the theme song at camp all the time, and it was hilarious.

But the show still blows.

It teaches children that if you are a complete fucking idiot you can do anything!

There's a couple shows like that in Canada, on the BITE network. I can't remember the names(though I think one of the shows is called 'BITE', sadly), but it's the same thing. A decently cute chick and a dude who's just creepy on camera making assholes of themselves and introducing videos, generally from YouTube.

I have never seen any of those.

Nor have I heard of this network.

I think you are lying.

Let's face it. The future is looking dim. They need to have a positive outlook on it.

Signed. Everytime I hear someone older than 5 say they like it I cringe. It's not funny and just complete garbage.

What the fuck is wrong with Sponge Bob, did you people never watch Ren and Stimpy, or Rocko's Modern Life?

The show is actually aimed at adults and kids. It's filled to them brim with complicated jokes and innuendos.

Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life didn't have a character with a laugh that annoying.

Sponge bob is funny! I love it but don't watch it regularly or anything, just when I'm babysitting my nephews. It's way better than a lot of other kids shows out there.

About the youtube vid show
A housewifey talk show called Rachael Ray has been showing youtube vids every couple of weeks and actually interviews the people that made the video and stuff. Since a lot of the vids they show are just internet memes I find the interviews interesting because it's neat to seethe person behind the silly video.
The problem is that the videos they pick are about some kind of ugly dog that is so ugly people find cute, or a baby that can is a geography pro or something..... nothing really cool but always cute. you know... crap housewives like.

SpongeBob was fine for the first couple of seasons. They were packed with references and innuendo

Hmmm...there have been a couple of shows with videos from the web here too...that recent on on the CW which crash and burned and is now cancelled and another one on VH1 with always annoying hosts...don't know how it's doing.
Heh? Meh.
