PAX East Details!

Just a brief update for those of you attending PAX East this March, we have learned the time and date of our (much anticipated and sure to be more awesome than anything it’s competing against *cough*) panel! Presently it is scheduled for Saturday, March 27th from 10-11PM. This is subject to change, naturally, as the con is still some weeks away, and they haven’t published the final schedule yet.

The bad news though, is that the 3-day passes and the Saturday only passes are now both sold out, so if you don’t already have your pass, you may want to start scouring craigslist and the PAX forums, in case someone decides they can’t make it. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

There’s also murmurings of us having a table in bandland, so even if you can’t make it on Saturday, you should be able to find us milling about the table from time to time. We’ll have more information on this, and proper confirmation soon, so check back!

See you at the con everyone!

Green

Sometimes a video will spring from the mind of its creator fully formed–like a Greek god, unexpectedly bursting from a non-womb part of his parent’s anatomy. Other times, a video will be written and languish in unfilmedness for a long time before finally being conjured into  existence. That is the case with this week’s video.

Tim actually wrote Green over a year ago, and would probably tell you it’s just an obvious joke taken to its zenith (likely without use of the word “zenith”). Even so, I have to applaud him for not actually using the most obvious reference of all re: being green. I also consider any video where we get to grease up and paint Morgan a worthwhile use of time. You might even recognize those garbage cans, which made a cameo in Just Drive a couple weeks ago — Just Drive was actually filmed the day after this video.

Hope you all enjoy it as much as we do! Thanks especially to Cherisse and Tally for helping us out on a busy Friday!

T-Shirt Announce: 2010 Canadian Slacking Team
February 6th, 2010

That’s right — in line with our pre-order initiatives on T-shirts, you can now pre-order our own unique brand of olympic wear: the 2010 Canadian Olympic Slacking Team shirt.

You can get red on white, red and white on black, or any number of other combinations. I think I’ll get the red-sleeved ball tee myself, as it’s pimp. As usual, if we get fifty pre-orders, we’ll do the run; if not, everybody gets their money back. For more information on our pre-orders, go here and check out the video at the bottom of the page. Shirts start at $18; you have until Feb 26. GO!

This preview pic is actually much more descriptive than the last one we showed you … though not nearly as sexy. In fact, go back and look at that picture again … it’s hot.

Whatever could it be?

Rejected ENN – Feb 3, 2010
February 4th, 2010

Every week, Paul, Graham, Kathleen and I get together to write ENN. Over the week, each of us actually writes stories separately, then we get together on Fridays to choose what to use, what to revise, etc. Sometimes the stories we throw out aren’t very good; other times, they are too obscure for a wider audience. Even so, sometimes very good stories have to be thrown out because there is just not enough space for them in the episode. Here are two of those stories for this week’s episode:

Dragons in Dungeons

The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has rejected the plea of prisoner Kevin T. Singer to be allowed to play Dungeons and Dragons. Officers at the Waupun Correctional Institution where Singer is incarcerated were pleased with the decision, saying “We can’t have prisoners exploring an enchanted fantasy realm while in custody, what if he were to find a Cape of the Mountebank? That would allow him to cast a dimension door spell once per day and he could easily escape.”

Proof: Tomb of Horrors designed by psychopaths

New Pokemon

Nintendo announced last week that the Pokemon Company is hard at work on a new series of entries in its award-winning franchise, to be released later this year. When asked what makes this game so original, Sotori Tajiri noted “We’ve actually managed to enclose an entire Z80 processor into the DS cartridge–what makes the new Pokémon so unique is its ability to look and sound exactly like a Game Boy Color game–a feat we have yet to achieve on the DS.”
