this week’s video is up, and I can’t really think of any witty, video-relevant phrase to use here to indicate that. Watch it here.

So this video was a harrowing shoot. It was stupidly cold out when we shot this, and we were all freezing. It involved long exchanges of complex dialogue. It required us to shout profanity and vulgarity in a public park, and the public part of that park kept trying get itself in the way, or to walk very young children within earshot. We were careful to warn parents that maybe they’d be best to take their children off to enjoy some other area of the park while we were shooting. The peacock was awesome though, and we were all super stoked that that particular shot was good. Big thanks to Andy for the script (but he seems to go to very dark places while writing… Maybe get that looked at, Andy?)

Oh, hey! Look! Andy sent me a blurb, that I just discovered (not at all after Graham had to text me to inform me of it’s existence)! Here it is!:

The script for this video started out as just one of the many addled thoughts I have while riding public transportation in Vancouver. I thought that “Fuck you!’ (being one of the most favoured disparagements in the whole of the english language) was inherently flawed. It is not only a sentence fragment (very sloppy), but it is also unnecessarily vague. Someone learning english as a second language may easily interpret it to mean, “I certainly hope you will have sex sometime in the near future”. In which case, they will smile cheerfully at their verbal assailant, gibber a few broken gratitudes, and then stroll off happily, looking forward to their prospective coitus. Hardly the desired effect.

I would also like to stress that some of the things mentioned in this script are quite offensive. I personally find a few things particularly offensive, but that was the point really: I thought of the worst thing anyone could ever possibly say to me and then I wrote it into a script. So if there are any sensible people out there that find certain things mentioned in the video disrespectful, hurtful and devoid of all taste, I couldn’t agree more. In all seriousness, I’m just as shocked as you are. Even more so, because I wrote it myself.

Cheers,

Andy

Unskippable this week was Mafia II which got a sneak-preview screening at Tsukino-Con this weekend. Hopefully you were there! If not, you can enjoy it now, right here.

This week’s video is up, so head on over and check it out. You’ll be glad you did. Really. Just sign here.

It’s Andy! Also, Nate! Also, Nate wrote this! And Andy wrote a video you’ll see very soon! We don’t even work here anymore! Seriously though, this video marks our good friend Nate’s very first writing credit for LoadingReadyRun, and we certainly hope to see his name among our credits often in weeks to come. So we thought, ‘what better way to feature Nate’s work on this new addition to the X Ways to Y franchise than to give him a starring role!?’

A reminder to everyone that the new LoadingReadyRun store is now live, with all kinds of fancy new features to make your shopping experience as streamlined and easy as can be. And not a moment too soon, either, as a new tee-shirt pre-order is imminent. I won’t give away any details, I’ll simply say that this particular shirt is unforgettable.

Unskippable this week was Dead Rising 2: Part 3. It just keeps going….

Cheers!

D’y’all ever find yerselves in need a’ some laughs, but a little short on funds? Well, git on over to The Escapist, ‘cuz we’re servin’ ’em up at steeply discounted prices!

This was a tremendously fun video to shoot, and not just because it was straightforward and quick. Things started off well when Graham and Kathleen proceeded to buy out the entire Snuggie supply of a local store and got questioned as to why they would be doiong something so ridiculous by a passerby. We also had both Bill and Morgan on set for the shooting of this bit, which is a rare event, but always enjoyed. Hilariously, Morgan had barely slept the night before shooting, and so most of his time (on and off camera) was actually spent napping. In retrospect, I suppose we didn’t really get to interact with him much as a result.

Unskippable this week was Dead Rising 2: Part 2. Check it out here.

Also, finally, a reminder that there will be no ENN this week (or in any future weeks), owing to the fact that it is being discontinued. You’ll find details in our blog post here.

Cheers!

Today’s video has arrived! head on over and check it out!

This weeks video comes to us courtesy of Paul, who provided me the little blurb below regarding his inspiration to write this bit:

I watch a lot of video game trailers for Unskippable and while clicking through yet another one of those silly age gateways I started to wonder whether they tracked the birth date data and if so, are they shocked by the weird statistical anomaly of half the people visiting the site being born on January 1st. That turned into thinking about how people fudge data on other web forms and that turned into the video you see before you. It isn’t clear in the video and it doesn’t really matter, but in my heart, the interrogating agent is the same one as Jer’s character from Gorgeous, off on another crusade but still obsessed with Antarctica. Big thanks to the VEC for letting us shoot in their creepy basement (aka the Daily Drop Laboratory) even though it somehow managed to be colder and wetter then outside.

Unskippable this week was Dead Rising 2: Part 1. You can watch it here.

Yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh… We’re going to have to ask you to move… on over to The Escapist to watch this week’s video!

As you have no doubt already guessed, this was a Kathleen video. Upon presenting it to the crew, she expressed some trepidation that it was too offensive or too over the top. Personally, I don’t think it is. It’s just the perfect amount of off-colour. It’s the “creamy eggshell” to our normally “arctic” white. Go, watch, enjoy – the send-up in this video is one, I’m sure we can all get behind!

When you’ve finished, feel free to kick back, and flip on this On The Run video, to watch as you enjoy the warm afterglow of hilarity:

Unskippable this week was “Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom”. Yeah, I know, I’ve never heard of it either, but apparently it exists. I honestly don’t know wat system it’s on. If you want to puzzle over the question yourself, head on over and check out the video.

Finally, you should know that we have extended the creepy-doll pre-order period for 7 more days to give you a little more time to add some terror to your wardrobe (that isn’t a function of how woefully out of style it is). Add this creepy shirt to your life for all kinds of friend & family disconcerting fun! Pre-order it here.

Cheers!
