Reduce Your Footprint

This was a quick shoot, filmed in the same nook at Graham’s house that we filmed Frozen Assets. I haven’t got much to say about this video, other than to mention that this skit is one of the several we will be performing live at the Phillips Comedy Night this Sunday.

Don’t miss it!

Do you like looking behind things? Do you often find yourself lifting couch cushions, pulling dressers out from against the wall, or sneaking around the sides of buildings, just so you can see what’s behind them!?

Well now you can look behind some scenes!

In this behind the scenes video…

For Wireless. Here it is.

March 4th, 2010

Oh my indeed.

First, and most importantly for any local LRR fans, LoadingReadyRun will be performing a 30-40 minute live set at the upcoming Phillips Comedy Night.

If you missed our live show back in 2005, this is the next best thing. We even have a special guest performer you absolutely won’t want to miss. The show is Sunday, Mar 14th at the Victoria Event Centre. Doors are at 8PM, and tickets are $10, ($8 if you’re a student). Details, such as the address, other performers and so on can be found here. Book the night off, bring your friends, and come join us for some laughs and a few drinks.

(The 14th also has the notable distinction of being my birthday, so if you don’t come wish me a happy birthday, I will be very disappointed.)

Secondly, you’ll be pleased to hear that we had an astonishing 102 pre-orders for the Slacking Team Shirt. Orders are now closed, but these shirts are definitely getting a run. Thanks for your interest! We’ll be printing these shirts soon, and I’ll update you when we ship them out.

On that same note, the last of our Science shirt pre-orders should have shipped out today, so if you haven’t received yours yet, fear not it will arrive soon. If you didn’t order a science shirt, but would like to purchase one (or it’s corresponding button), we’ll be adding the remaining stock to our store in the next couple weeks. As indicated, we now only have unisex-black to offer, but it’s a mighty fine shirt with very high print quality.

Finally, I’m pleased to inform you that a new print run of LoadingReadyRun DVDs has been ordered for each of seasons 2, 3, and 4. We don’t have an exact date yet, but they should all be back in stock on our store, and ready for you to buy, by the end of the month!

Thanks everyone, and we hope to see you at the comedy night! You won’t want to miss it!

Like, you really won’t.

Really.

Rejected ENN – March 3, 2010
March 3rd, 2010

Every week, Paul, Graham, Kathleen and I get together to write ENN. Over the week, each of us actually writes stories separately, then we get together on Fridays to choose what to use, what to revise, etc. Sometimes the stories we throw out aren’t very good; other times, they are too obscure for a wider audience. Even so, sometimes very good stories have to be thrown out because there is just not enough space for them in the episode. Here are several such stories from this week’s episode:

PSPgone

Instead of offering players their choice of free game when purchasing a PSP go, Sony will instead assign a game to them based on the age associated with their PSN ID. The company cited that actual choice might entice someone to buy a PSP Go, which could be quote: “creepy”.

Super Mario World Galaxy 2

Nintendo has revealed additional details about Super Mario Galaxy 2 to show how the game will be completely different from any Mario game before it. Primarily these innovations include the return of Yoshi and a power up that allows the player to inflate and float. When ask how this can be considered innovation, since both of these features existed in 1990’s Super Mario World, Nintendo executives directed the assembled press to look behind them and then threw a smoke bomb on the ground and escaped the the resulting confusion.

Can’t Stop the Bumrise

European hobo simulator Bumrise will soon make it’s way to North America. The game, which tasks players to rise to the top of the homeless food chain through theft, violence and other such endeavours, has already raised controversy in France over its questionable content. The International Game Developer’s Association has raised further concerns citing the game as a an all-too-real simulation of the present life of a game developer.

The One I Don’t Want

505 Games has announced a new title for Wii and DS based on the hit musical Grease. A rep for the company said that the Wii and DS audiences are a perfect fit for a musical with the actual lyrics “You know that ain’t no shit, we’ll be getting lots of tit, in greased lightning”.

or

In the game, as in the movie, the player controls Danny Zuko as he attempts to hide his burgeoning homosexuality by dating some prissy bitch he met during summer vacation.

Obligatory FFXIII Headline

In response to news that the installed size for Final Fantasy 13 would total 18GB for the 360 and 38GB for the PS3, Square Enix ÜberMench Imperial Hot said “We artificially inflated the install size to give players a greater sense of the game’s true value.”
